What are backlinks
In xTiles, there are plenty of ways to link your information and quickly access it from anywhere in your workspace. One of the easiest ways to do this is by using backlinks.
A backlink lets you mention or reference other tiles within a project, so you can quickly jump to related information without duplicating content. This is especially useful for client and shopping lists, interlinking personal notes, tasks and projects.
How to use a backlinks
To create a backlink in xTiles, type "@" inside any tile. This will open a list of other tiles within the same project that you can select to reference. Tiles are listed and searchable by their title.
When you mention a tile, a two-way backlink is created automatically:
The mention appears in the current tile
A corresponding backlink is added to the referenced tile
You can view backlinks by opening a tile in Focus Mode. All related backlinks are listed in the Backlinks section on the right side.
Backlinks work the same way for regular tiles and collection items.
